Grahams’ love for the arts first began in music. He plays the piano, synthesizer, accordion, saxophone, and acoustic guitar. He was in the North Vancouver Youth Band that became the Canadian champions in 1970 and represented Canada at the World Expo in Osaka, Japan. He has also sung tenor in choirs and currently sings in a small ensemble at Trinity Baptist Church in Kelowna.
Graham has worked as an Interior Designer for over 20 years in Vancouver and Kelowna. Click here to view Graham's article "Decorating Decorum" published in the October 2007 issue of "City Living" magazine.
In the medium of painting, he has benefited from the teachings and guidance of Master Painters Roger Arndt and Jonn Eineressen. Graham's painting began out of a terrible injury. Unable to work, sing or perform music, he turned to the canvas and brush as a means of expressing his passion for life and appreciation for the “Hand of the Creator.”
He is now exploring the vast and beautiful medium of glass. After touring the Tacoma Glass Museum and glass factories in Seattle and Portland, he started to experiment with fusing, sandblasting and slumping glass. This new field is one where light and colour permit endless romps into an amazing medium. |
